Visit the caves of Laas Geel, where rock art dating back more than 5,000 years has been found – one of the most well-preserved examples of rock art in Africa, and a highlight of the journey. Early breakfast and travel to Baargaal. Baargaal District now trades and transports tons of fresh fish to Ethiopia for the first time since Somalia’s central government collapsed in 1991, Baargaal faces the Guardafui Channel in the Indian Ocean, A long journey that will take 8 hours drive. For the night stay at a hotel in Baargaal.
Early in the morning, we depart for Cape Guardafui and drive through the desert to reach this area of the island. Located on the southeast coast of mainland Africa, Cape Guardafui is the second easternmost point on the continent after Ras Hafun and where the Indian ocean and red sea meet. In the evening, come back to Baargaal and spend the night there.
