The Harari Museum displays artifacts, textiles, and photographs illustrating the cultural and religious history of the Harari people. In Harar, coffee is a significant part of the culture. Harar produces some of the finest coffee in the world. Local coffee plantations can be visited and traditional coffee making can be learned.
UNESCO has designated Harar Jugol as one of the World Heritage Sites and the site includes 82 mosques, including three that date back to the 10th century, along with more than 100 shrines and tombs.
